About The Way Ministry
At The Way Ministry, everyone is welcome. Whether you have walked with Jesus for many years or are simply searching for hope, you will find a place where you are loved, accepted, and encouraged to grow.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life."
John 14:6
We believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Our desire is to help people experience His grace, discover His purpose, and walk daily in His truth. Our church is a place of restoration — we welcome individuals and families from every background, including those overcoming addiction, returning from incarceration, facing life's hardships, or simply looking for a church to call home.
No matter your past, God's love is greater. Join us for heartfelt worship, practical biblical teaching, prayer, fellowship, and hot breakfast on Sunday mornings. We are not a perfect church — we are a family learning to follow Jesus together.

Lead Minister • The Way Ministry
Teresa P. Hawker is a follower of Jesus Christ whose greatest desire is to know Him more deeply and to help others discover the hope, forgiveness, and new life found in Him. She believes every person has immeasurable value because every person is loved by God.
For the past 15 years, Teresa has served as the Lead Minister of The Way Ministry. Her passion is to teach the Bible in a way that is simple, understandable, and life-changing. Whether speaking from the pulpit, leading a Bible study, or sitting across the table from someone in need, her desire is the same: to point people to Jesus.
Teresa has spent more than 25 years teaching the Word of God through Bible studies, discipleship classes, and family ministry. She has a special burden for those who feel forgotten, including people struggling with addiction, those returning from incarceration, families facing hardship, and anyone searching for hope. She believes that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace and that every person deserves to hear the Gospel.
She is also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother — and has served for more than 30 years as an instructor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology at Danville Community College. Her love for teaching extends beyond the classroom, equipping people with knowledge, wisdom, and confidence in every area of life.
